| Wed, Thu | 8:00 am – 7:00 pm | Full- or part-time |
| Friday | 9:00 am – 7:00 pm | Full- or part-time |

| Sunday | Closed | Off |
| After hours | Referred to Richmond ERs | No after-hours urgent care |
| • | Urgent care, the same day. Walk-ins are welcome, a limited number of drop-off slots open each day, and same-day visits cover vomiting and diarrhea, limping, bite wounds, ear and eye infections, urinary straining and toxin or foreign-body ingestion. |
| • | Less charting, more medicine. An AI scribe drafts your medical records from the appointment, so you finish your notes at work, not at home. |
| • | Emergencies during the day. During business hours the team is equipped for emergency and lifesaving care. Patients who need 24-hour monitoring or specialty surgery are transferred to emergency hospitals in Richmond. |
| • | Flexible, and done when we close. Full- or part-time with rotating Saturdays, and we'll work with you to find the schedule that fits. There's no after-hours urgent care: when we're closed, clients go to a local emergency hospital. |
| • | Loyal clients. A loyal, diverse clientele means you build real relationships with clients and patients over time. |
| • | A strong wellness program, too. Wellness plans with unlimited exams, vaccines and bloodwork keep patients coming back between sick visits. |
The medicine you'll practice
| • | Acupuncture and integrative care. Both of our doctors are certified veterinary acupuncturists (CVA), with a focus on lameness and neurologic cases, and Chinese herbs are part of the toolkit. |
| • | Soft-tissue surgery. Spays and neuters, mass removals, cystotomies, splenectomies and exploratories, with electrocautery. |
| • | Diagnostics in-house. Ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, an in-house lab and Zoetis Imagyst. |
| • | Dentistry and end-of-life care. Dental cleanings with digital dental X-rays, plus pain management, chronic disease management, hospice and euthanasia. |
| • | Mostly dogs and cats, with a limited exotics caseload of rabbits, small rodents and bearded dragons. |
Who you'll work with
| • | Dr. Virginia Cunningham, Medical Director. A certified veterinary acupuncturist with years of both general and emergency practice, Dr. Cunningham earned her DVM at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after an animal science degree from Virginia Tech. She grew up in Charlottesville, where 4-H sparked her love of animals, and practiced in Buffalo, New York, before coming home to Virginia. |
| • | Dr. Michael Braunstein. A Penn veterinary graduate with more than 30 years in practice, Dr. Braunstein has owned and run two veterinary hospitals and has also practiced in Dallas. Certified in veterinary acupuncture since 2011, he focuses on lameness and neurologic cases, and he visits local high schools to encourage students toward veterinary careers. |
| • | Practice Manager Shaye Cline, LVT, brings a clinical background in anesthesia, dentistry and patient care, and leads the support team. |
| • | Room to follow your interests. We encourage you to pursue your professional interests, with CE and resources that support your clinical development. |
| • | Team outings and events through the year. |
