Dr. Arland Woodham, DVM has been practicing veterinary medicine for 47 years and has been at his current location in Jacksonville, FL for 25 years. We have a strong loyal clientele with new clients being added regularly.

Continuing Education is paid for. Paid vacation is negotiable.

Requirements

Duties

• Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries in pets.
• Administer vaccinations and medications as required.
• Provide guidance to pet owners on nutrition, behavior, and general care practices.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients, utilizing veterinary terminology effectively.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine.

Skills

• Veterinary critical care experience is preferred for handling emergency situations effectively.
• Proficient in animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the animals and staff during examinations or procedures.
• Extensive veterinary experience with a solid understanding of animal physiology and anatomy knowledge.
• Competence in pet grooming techniques as part of overall animal care.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment for diagnostic testing is beneficial.
• Experience with animal catheterization for various medical needs is an asset.
