Associate Veterinarian (Full-Time) – Surgery Opportunity | Veterinarian-Owned Practice

About SAVA Animal Hospital
SAVA Animal Hospital is a veterinarian-owned small animal practice focused on collaborative care, hands-on mentorship, delivering high quality medicine and surgery, and serving our local pet community.
We believe in investing in our team and our hospital. Along with mentorship, we provide all team members with CE opportunities and routinely provide additional funding for our doctors to grow their dental, surgical, diagnostic, and medical skills.
Our hospital is equipped with:

Our veterinarians are supported by experienced technicians (2-3 support staff per doctor) so doctors can focus on practicing medicine rather than administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
- Perform wellness and illness exams on canine and feline patients
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic diseases using modern diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries (spays, neuters, mass removals, etc)
- Perform advanced soft-tissue surgeries (cystotomies, gastrotomies,enterotomies, splenectomy, etc) — additional mentorship and training is provided to build confidence with these procedures
- Communicate treatment plans clearly with pet owners
- Maintain accurate medical records with the assistance of technical staff and AI software
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians and support staff to educate clients and provide a team approach to patient care
Requirements
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD from an accredited US veterinary school
- Active New Jersey veterinary license (or ability to obtain one)
- Interest or experience in soft-tissue surgery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, team-oriented approach to veterinary medicine
Salary
- We offer a starting salary of $125,000 to $160,000 depending on experience with production bonuses available.

Schedule
- Full-time schedule (typically 3-4 days per week)
- No emergency or on-call responsibilities
